Chapter 4: The Art of the Counter-Accusation

Before the man could even begin to process the reality of what his eyes had just shown him, the woman in red launched into a masterclass of deception. Clutching her cheek and letting out a theatrical sob, she pointed a trembling finger directly at the woman on the floor. "She attacked me! She's crazy!" she shrieked, her voice cracking with fake anguish and profound panic.

It was a breathtaking pivot, transforming herself from the ruthless attacker into a helpless victim of an unprovoked assault. She wept openly, manufacturing an air of absolute distress to manipulate the man's protective instincts and cloud his judgment. Every sob was carefully timed, every tremor of her hand calculated to evoke sympathy and outrage from the observer. She relied entirely on the effectiveness of her performance to overwrite the physical evidence sitting right in front of them.

The man in the black suit looked back and forth, visibly shaken by the competing realities presented to him. The woman in red continued her frantic narrative, painting the pregnant woman as a deranged lunatic who had lunged at her without warning. It was a vicious web of lies spun with terrifying speed, designed to completely invert the roles of victim and perpetrator. The air in the room grew colder as the sheer audacity of the falsehood sank in, threatening to condemn an innocent person.
