Part 1: The 10-Minute Collapse

The massive front doors burst open. Walking in were four men in sharp black suits, led by Arthur—the Executive Vice President of Legal Affairs for the global conglomerate, Corpient Fury. Following closely behind them were two private security guards.
Brendan stood up abruptly, his face turning pale as he recognized Arthur—the man his father and he always bowed to in every board meeting.
"Mr. Arthur? What are you doing here? On a Sunday?"
Arthur didn't even look at Brendan. He walked straight over to Cassidy, who was still dripping wet in her maternity dress. Arthur bowed respectfully, took off his expensive wool overcoat, and gently draped it over her shoulders.
"Madam Chairman. The private ambulance and your obstetrician are waiting outside. We deeply apologize for allowing you to suffer this insult."
Chairman. Those words echoed through the dining room like a thunderbolt. The smile on Diane’s face froze instantly. Jessica dropped her wine glass, and the sound of shattering glass pierced the sudden silence.
"Ch-Chairman?" Brendan stammered, looking from his ex-wife to Arthur. "You must be mistaken. She's just a penniless girl..."
"Silence, Morrison!" Arthur turned, his eyes cutting like a razor. "The woman you just humiliated is Cassidy Nelson, the founder and 65% majority shareholder of Corpient Fury. This house, the car you drive, and the petty Director title you hold... they all belong to her."

Suddenly, Brendan’s phone buzzed violently. A second later, Diane’s phone did the same.
Emergency notifications from the bank and corporate servers flashed on their screens: Protocol 7 had been activated.
All credit cards under the Morrison family name were instantly frozen.
