Recovery wasn't cinematic.
Adrian didn't suddenly throw away his wheelchair.
Some mornings he walked.
Some afternoons his legs refused.
Sometimes pain forced him back into the chair.
At first, he hated those days.
Then Rebecca taught him something.
“The chair isn't failure, Adrian.”
He looked at her.
“It feels like it.”

“Good.”

“But when you get out, if you genuinely want another life, I'll help you build one.”
Evan began crying.
“Why?”
“Because you're my brother.”
Adrian paused.
“But being my brother doesn't erase what you did.”
Accountability and love could exist together.
Adrian was finally learning that too.
Then prosecutors uncovered one last hidden asset.
A $62 million fund Richard had created.
Its intended purpose surprised everyone.
