Chapter 15 - Forever and Always

The Amalfi Coast looked like something painted by an old master.
Dramatically stacked cliffside pastel villas tumbled down toward the sparkling, sapphire-blue expanse of the Mediterranean Sea, framed by fragrant lemon groves and the warm, golden glow of the Italian sun.
Clara stood on the private stone balcony of a clifftop villa, the sea breeze catching the hem of her flowing white sundress. On her left hand, the twin rings—the heavy silver Rossi crest and the delicate platinum diamond band—sparked brilliantly in the afternoon light.
Footsteps sounded behind her on the terrace tiles, followed by the familiar, comforting weight of Dominic’s arms wrapping securely around her waist. He rested his chin on her shoulder, looking out across the endless horizon of the sea.
"Regrets?" Dominic asked softly, his breath warm against her skin.
Clara turned in his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and looking up into the dark, steady eyes of the man who had claimed her while she slept, fought a war to keep her alive, and ultimately gave her back her true history.

Dominic smiled, pulling her flush against his chest, sealing their future under the warm Italian sun with a long, slow kiss that promised forever.
