Chapter 7 - The Billionaire's Wrath

The fight was over before it even began.
The first thug lunged toward Alexander with a switchblade, but Alexander sidestepped with ruthless, calculated precision. He caught the man's wrist, twisting it with a sharp, sickening crunch that echoed through the empty subway terminal. As the man screamed in agony, Alexander delivered a devastating roundhouse kick to his chest, sending him crashing violently into the tiled wall, unconscious before he even hit the floor.
The second thug turned and tried to bolt up the stairs, but Alexander was faster. He grabbed the man by the back of his jacket, hurled him down the concrete steps, and pinned him to the floor with a heavy boot pressed squarely against his windpipe.
"Who sent you?" Alexander demanded, leaning down, his face inches from the terrified criminal's eyes. His knuckles were bruised, his chest heaving, but his gaze was locked on pure destruction. "Who?!"
"V-Vanessa!" the thug choked out, clawing desperately at Alexanderâs boot. "It was Lady Vanessa! She paid us fifty grand to make sure they never came back! Please, man, don't kill me!"
Alexanderâs expression didn't soften; it hardened into stone. He released his foot, letting the coward scramble away and flee up the stairs like a frightened dog.
Slowly, Alexander turned around.
Clara was kneeling on the floor, holding a sobbing Lily tightly against her chest. She looked up, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief as the billionaire walked toward her through the dim light of the underground station.

He didn't say a word. He shrugged off his expensive, cashmere-lined overcoat and gently draped it over Claraâs shivering shoulders, wrapping her and the child in its warmth. Then, without asking for permission, Alexander scooped Lily into his arms, lifting her effortlessly, and extended his free hand down to Clara.
"Come home," Alexander whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I know everything."
