Chapter 8 - THE BOARDROOM IN MADRID

One month later.

The towering glass-and-steel skyscraper of Vance-Moreno Real Estate Global on Paseo de la Castellana in the heart of Madrid was flooded with morning light.

Inside the grand executive boardroom on the forty-fifth floor, twenty-four senior managing directors, international institutional investors, and bank trustees sat around the forty-foot mahogany conference table.

At the head of the table, I sat dressed in an impeccably tailored dark navy three-piece suit, commanding the room with absolute, unchallenged authority.

Beside me sat Mateo Cruz and our Chief Legal Counsel, Elena Santos.

"Gentlemen," Elena Santos announced, projecting the certified quarterly financial reports across the wall monitors. "Following the complete recovery of the proprietary Marbella development blueprints and the total judicial forfeiture of Javier de la Vega's frozen equity, our European commercial portfolio has cleared an eighteen percent growth milestone."

The board members murmured in synchronized, impressed approval.

"Furthermore," I spoke into the microphone, my deep voice commanding the room's total, rapt attention, "the Board of Directors has approved the immediate establishment of the Elena & Isabella Foundation for Child Protection and Domestic Advocacy."

I laid an embossed gold portfolio before the corporate secretary.

"The foundation is funded by an initial twenty-five-million-euro endowment originating from the liquidated assets of the Gibraltar recovery trust," I declared. "The foundation will fund specialized legal defense networks, emergency safehouses, and forensic child-advocacy clinics for vulnerable children across Spain."

The entire boardroom stood up in thunderous, synchronized applause, bowing their heads with deep, profound respect.

I signed the executive charter with a smooth, firm stroke of my gold fountain pen.

The corporate battle was won. The empire was secure.

And the wealth I had built would now serve as an unbreakable shield for every child who had ever felt invisible in the dark.
